Robert qualified as a Solicitor in 1988 and practised in that capacity for ten years, becoming Head of a Civil Litigation at a noted High Street firm on Merseyside, before transferring to the Bar in 1998.

He gained valuable experience in the fields of Banking, Finance, Insolvency and Commercial Litigation with the firms Bermans, Knight & Sons and Anthony Collins & Co.

Upon being called to the Bar by Lincoln’s Inn in 1998 Robert’s practice grew rapidly covering, again, the fields of Commercial Chancery work along with heavyweight P.I. to include Historic Child Sexual Abuse and now also Employment. In 2005 he set up and established his own Set of Chambers which expanded at pace, growing to some 18 strong some years later.

Outside work Robert enjoys hill-walking and making short films. He earned a Filmmaking Degree from SFI in Seattle, where he lived for a number of years.
